About Deep Dish Conversations: True Crime

About the Show

Deep Dish Conversations is taking a bold new turn, digging into the raw, real-life stories of people who are currently or formerly incarcerated. This audio-only series, hosted by Jerome Moore, goes beyond crime and punishment to explore transformation, purpose, and impact.

Each multipart episode unpacks the lifestyle and circumstances that led to incarceration, the experience within the legal system, and most importantly, the journey, which may still be unfolding within the correctional system. Guests may include those who are guilty of the crimes they were convicted of, as well as those who maintain their innocence or were wrongfully convicted.

The focus is on those who are using their lived experiences to deter others from following a similar path and who are making a meaningful difference through social, transformative and restorative justice work.

Rather than glorify or dramatize crime, Deep Dish Conversations:True Crime centers the people working to disrupt cycles of violence, incarceration, and systemic harm. These are the stories of redemption, accountability, and hope told by those who are turning their past into purpose and using their voices to build safer, more compassionate communities.

In a time where real solutions are urgently needed, this series invites listeners into honest, civil, and brave conversations, encouraging reflection, curiosity, and action.
